Time to Give Thanks....

Hello to all my amazing fans. I am in Peru today and definitely feeling the amazing love from all my South American Fans. Being on the road with Britney Spears has turned out to be an awesome experience. Her whole crew and family are wonderful people and I am bumping into some many old faces from our previous crews that have worked for BSB in the past. I saw her show the first night and she does a very entertaining show for her fans with dancers, lights and videos. We are playing stadiums down here and the fans are going crazy. I really didnt know what to expect from my fans when I got here since this was the first time I have been down here by myself with my solo record and I can definitely say I have been overwhelmed with the amazing response so far. Right from the first day arriving in Argentina and being greeted at the airport I started this trip with a smile on my face and now I have perma-grin with sore cheeks!!! Lol. The first show went off with a bang and the audience really seemed into it right off the bat with my BSB tribute intro to having the fans fist pumping with my first song 100. I have a small crew of my own out with me including my security Josh, DJ LA (Lani) and Michael who's making the after parties happen. The first after party in Buenos Aires was NUTS!!!! I had a chance to take pictures and mingle with all the VIPS for some time and then perform a couple songs off my CD. From there we finished off with me behind the DJ booth with Lani. We even started playing and singing some BSB tunes with the fans as well a couple more of my own songs.

A: I love water skiing, knee skiing, wake boarding, snow boarding and volleyball.

A: I cook a little. My best dishes are breakfast but a recently love to cook chicken
noodle soup for baby James.

A: Besides my sleeping, lol, I became more selfless.

Hello to all my amazing ARMY!

Hope everyone is doing great!!! I have had a little downtime with BSB but if you have been following me lately probably have noticed that I have been going non stop after the NKOTBSB tour. My first solo promo trip was around my birthday last August when I went to Japan to do some interviews and a fan event. The fans there were amazing! What a way to kick it off. I had a chance to see all my amazing fans, ate so much good food and drank lots of Sake. Lol. Then after that I took my family to Puerto Rico for a little belated bday celebrating and some well needed R&R time. Had such a great time seeing my entire moms side of the family. James loved being at the pool and beach as well eating some of the good Puerto Rican food. After that I went to Toronto for the Toronto Film Festival events. I went to a couple of the magazine parties, the AMFAR Aids benefit, a fan after party and presented an award at the Canadian Country Music Awards. Now I am back home getting ready to finally do the baptism of my son James. My bother Johnny and I are doing a joint christening of our two sons. We are gonna both be the Godfathers to our boys James and Jonathan. Its nice to be the Godfather. Lol

I am sitting here enjoying the last few hours in Tokyo, Japan and it saddens me that I have to leave. I have had an amazing week here with all the love that's been shown to me by the media and fans for my single 100, upcoming album and my birthday. It truly has been an amazing trip! Japan will always have a special place in my heart as they along with the rest of the world have blessed not only BSB but myself Howie D (and all my new names weve created via twitter) as well! ;)

It is also good to come back here and see how things are slowly but surely getting back to some sort of normalcy after their terrible tragedy this year. My heart goes out to all the people in Japan who lost love ones. You will always be in my prayers. Because of that I will be auctioning off the Lakers jersey I worse at the Los Angeles NKOTBSB Staple Center show on July 1st thru the BSB Japanese Official Fan Club to help victims of this tragedy. I honestly wish I could do more!

So I am getting ready to fly back to the States to enjoy a little well needed R&R time with my family. I can't wait to see my little James and eat some of Grandma's AWESOME Spanish cooking! Yes, Im always thinking about food. Is there a problem with that?

Anywho, there's no place like home and home here I come!!!

Hot Summer Nights

Performing at the Hot Summer Night event at Blitz in Akasaka on Tuesday really made this trip worthwhile! I got to spend an evening with all my lovely Japanese fans and to me thats what its all about. I also got to premiere two new songs from my record- Lie to Me and Back to Me. I surprised the fans and jumped in the crowd when I ended the night with Back to Me. Hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.

Hey Everyone!

Im having an wonderful time in Japan so far. I've literally been celebrating my birthday everyday and it feels AMAZING to see all the love that is here for me. I feel specialha. Had four cakes already and now I feel like I'm gonna turn into a dough boy, but I'm a DOROUGH boy instead! Ha...I'm a comedian now too!

Anyway, had a great fan event two days ago where I sang 100 and premiered two other song of my upcoming album- Lie to Me and Back to Me. Jenn and Josh are here with me keeping me company and eating a lot too. Thank God!

I was also able to see all the birthday wishes on my twitter and facebook. It brought big smiles to my face and heart. I'm so blessed!

Thanks again to all my amazing fans around the world for your support with me and BSB!

Turning the Page....

So this amazing leg of the NKOTBSB tour has come to and end...at least for North America. I have such mixed emotions right now. I had such an awesome time and its always sad to think of something ending, but I have to remember when you close the chapter there is always the next one to look forward too. So till then I can reflect on all the unbelievable memories starting with the life long friendship created with the guys of NKOTB, to seeing all the beautiful fans and cities, the sold out venues, the funny moments on stage, seeing my band Neverest open for us and all the fun excursions with Leigh, James and BSB crew, including meeting the Prime Minister of Canada at their family cottage. The list really goes on and on.

Most days before the show I was very fortunate to be out on the road doing promo for my single 100 and the upcoming album at the same time. I loved going to the radio and tv stations and seeing all the fans that showed up for me and supported me. You guys are my ARMY and I love you for all the love you have shown and continue to show me.

I have a couple days off till I go to do my first promo trip to Japan. I am really excited to show my fans there what Howie D has to offer as a solo artist. It cause of BSB that we have some of the most loyal fans all around the world and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support you give us as well for our solo projects.

Cant wait to bring this record all around the world, till then thanks for KTHDPA!!!!!

After nearly two decades of boy-banding, the 37-year-old is the last of the four remaining BSB members to break away from the group for an attempt at a solo career. With the release of his single '100,' Dorough declares his independence and is set to drop debut album 'Back to Me,' a project five years in the making.

AOL Music caught up with Howie, who revealed in an exclusive Q&A that he attempted a Latin-leaning album before having an identity crisis as a Latino American who doesn't speak Spanish and opting to put out a 'Glee' music producer-assisted pop album instead. When he's not busy converting New Kids on the Block fans to his Howie D fan base on the NKOTBSB tour, he's watching his 2-year-old son dance like crazy to his dad's new single.

So this NKOTBSB tour is off and running. I am so glad to be back on the road where I feel most at home besides with my immediate family cause you all are my second family. You bring sooooo much joy and excitement to my life when I come to every town and see so many familiar faces and places. As well this family is growing more and more every year with all the new fans I meet everyday. We went through an extensive 6 weeks of hard training and rehearsals to get here and every minute has now paid off. I am so proud of this amazing show we have created to take all over. We are now truly getting into the groove and every show just seems to keep getting better and better. As I write this I am today in Boston, the home of the New Kids and the excitement for BSB here is amazing as well. Leigh and James have been on the road with me and now my bus has turned into a toyland. Boy how things have changed over the years. Lol. I am looking forward to coming to every city and seeing all our beautiful, amazing fans. Can't wait for the rest of the world to see the show as well. As you all have been hearing from me for what seems like forever, my first solo album entitled BACK TO ME will be coming out this fall in Japan and then worldwide. I promise I will make sure every fan can get their pretty little hands on it. The first single, 100, will be hitting radio this weekend in Japan and then this summer everywhere else! 100 was so fun to work on and I feel is such a fun summer song. I can't wait to tell you all so much more about it and I can't wait for you to watch the video. I sincerely hope you all love it and rock out to it ALL SUMMER LONG because I recorded it for you. Ok, well I've got to go. I will be checking in here often so come back soon.

I'm so excited to officially announce that my first single, 100, will exclusively premiere in Japan this Saturday, May 7th on DJ Snoopy's radio show "Radio HITS Radio" on FM Yokohama between 1:30 am - 3:00 am. Are you all going to stay up and listen? Its the world premiere and I hope we all can have a date night and listen together! DJ Snoopy will air an exclusive interview with me as well!
